Do you have a nursery?
If I take my children to the nursery, may I go and get them for Holy Communion?
Where are the Sunday school classes held? May small children join their parents for worship on Sundays?
Q. Do you have a nursery?
A. Yes. St. Martin’s has a staffed nursery for the 10:30 service. The room opens at 10:15 and remains open throughout the service. We believe that nursery care for parents and guardians who want to take part in the life of our church is essential and therefore we employ a paid nursery staff. Nursery care is available during the 10:30 service and many special events.
Q. If I take my children to the nursery, may I go and get them for Holy Communion?
A. Yes. Most parents who place small children in the nursery, go and get their children from the nursery for Holy Communion during the start of communion. Children in the Sunday school program will be brought up to church by their teachers and will find you.
Q. Where are the Sunday school classes held?
A. Sunday school classes are held in the education wing, the undercroft and under the church down the hall past the bathrooms. The classes are set up by age and any of the teachers will be happy to direct you and your child to the appropriate class setting.
Q. May small children join their parents for worship on Sundays?
A. Yes. Children are welcome to accompany their parents to worship. We do have nursery care available during the 10:30 service and Sunday school is available for children ages 2 1/2 through 5th grade. All children join their families for Holy Communion. However, parents are welcome to keep their children with them during the entire service. If the child becomes disruptive, you may take them to the Crying Room/Lady Chapel on the 2nd floor of the Education Wing where the service can be heard via speakers.
